Distillation column (example)

  1. New projectChemical discipline.
  2. Place a distillation column in the center.
  3. Add pumps on the feed and bottoms streams.
  4. Connect them with the piping palette using the ports.
  5. Add instrument bubbles on key lines and connect them to the control loop.
  6. Tag the instruments (e.g. TI-201, LC-301).
  7. Use the validation panel to review the drawing.
  8. Export to PDF with the title block and generate the BOM.

Tip: create layers to separate control loops, instrumentation and piping.

Water pumping (short example)

  1. Chemical discipline.
  2. Place a tank, a pump and a control valve.
  3. Connect tank → pump → valve with piping.
  4. Add a flow transmitter (FT-101) downstream and connect them.
  5. Export to PNG to share.

Electrical diagram (short example)

  1. Electrical discipline.
  2. Place a motor and a starter contactor.
  3. Connect with power and control lines.
  4. Review with the validator and export.
